COVID-19 Vaccine Bulletin

September 17 Prince George’s County COVID-19 Vaccination Update

Dear Prince Georgians:

  • As a reminder, the County’s indoor public mask mandate remains in effect after the County Council recently passed a resolution extending the mandate. All residents and visitors ages 5 and up are required to wear a mask in all indoor public establishments, regardless of your vaccination status.
  • The County Health Department is closely monitoring updates and recommendations regarding COVID-19 booster shots. At this time, the booster shot is not approved for the general public. We will provide an update on booster shot recommendations once we receive official guidance from federal and state governments. At this time, third doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are available only for Prince Georgians who have a weakened immune system.
  • PGCPS is hosting another round of COVID-19 vaccination clinics for students ages 12 and up. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to get protected from COVID-19. Learn more here.

Yours in service,
Angela Alsobrooks
Prince George’s County Executive
