How do I obtain a copy of a Police Incident Report?
All incident reports (other than motor vehicle accident reports) are stored at the Prince George’s County Police Department – Central Records Division. To obtain a copy of a police report you must mail your request, a fee of $5.00, and a self-addressed envelope to Police Records Center, 4923 43rd Avenue, Hyattsville, Maryland 20781. Fee must be submitted in the form of a business check or money order. Cash, credit cards and personal checks are not accepted. Please provide names of persons involved, date, time, and the location of the incident. Also, if available, please include the related case number.
How long does it take for my report to arrive after I make a request?
Generally, the report copy will arrive in 2-4 weeks.
Can I obtain a copy of the report in person?
