What is a Mayor?

A Mayor is an elected leader of a municipality or town government and acts as the chief executive office. Mayors typically run their town’s day-to-day administration and work with the legislative body or town council to enact laws. A mayor presides over council meetings, provides leadership, receives input from citizens of the community, and makes business decisions to keep a community safe, thriving and a comfortable place to live.
